Job Title: Manager - Talent Pool Location: London Contract Length : 12-month full-time fixed-term contract (with potential for renewal) Start Date: TBD Salary: 40,000-50,000 depending on experience (multiple roles being considered in this band) About the role: Moonshot CVE is currently recruiting a number of Managers for our talent pool, in anticipation of upcoming projects. Managers will be responsible for the technical implementation, project management, team management and client management for projects covering one or more of a range of thematic areas including: social media analysis, CVE digital campaigns and interventions. In addition, all Managers are expected to advance our methodologies and business development opportunities. Your responsibilities will include: * Overseeing analysis of diverse forms of data, including social media metrics, surveys, interviews, violent extremist material and data gathered by our in-house specialist software. * Developing and sharing subject matter expertise related to violent extremism and online harms across the organisation. * Developing new methodologies to track and challenge violent extremism, misinformation, and other public safety issues. * Management of projects, including ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets. * Managing key relationships with clients, partner organisations and other stakeholders. * Identification and management of project risks. * Leading a small to a medium-sized project team. * Supporting our business development by identifying and applying for funding opportunities, building relationships with clients and partner organisations. Requirements Criteria * Experience leading projects covering one or more of the following topics: social media analysis, digital communications campaigns, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, interventions. * Relevant professional or research experience in countering violent extremism or other online harms. * Subject matter expertise in one of the following areas: far-right extremism, jihadist extremism, hate crime, human trafficking, child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA). * Experience managing project teams and client management. * Demonstrable experience of outreach and building stakeholder relationships. * A strong ability to source, interpret and analyse both quantitative and qualitative data, particularly social media or digital marketing data. * Demonstrable ability to work under pressure, taking action and getting things done, both in managing your own workload and that of others. * Inquisitiveness and adaptability, particularly in relation to new technology and the use of social media for research. * Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. * Willingness to be on-call and work outside regular working hours in response to incidents and relevant events. * We require all candidates to be eligible to work in the UK and will require proof of this. * We require all candidates, who have been shortlisted for the role, to undergo DBS checks. * In addition, candidates will be expected to undertake any relevant security clearance procedures per the needs of clients. Desirable: * Experience in quantitative methods for social science and specialist quantitative skills, including open source intelligence tools, data visualization, database management (SQL), Python, Tableau visualization or other data analysis toolsets. * Advanced analysis of a wide range of traditional and non-traditional digital platforms and / or professional experience in open-source research, OSINT methods, or threat risk analysis. * Demonstrable experience with digital marketing on traditional and emerging media and social media platforms. * Fluency in languages other than English, in particular, Arabic.
