Job Description

Alzheimer's Society is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research and supports people living with dementia today. By volunteering for Alzheimer's Society at Ride London on Sunday 16 August, you'll be part of high-energy squads that cheer on cyclists, helping to create a unique atmosphere for thousands of Ride London cyclists. Time: Just for a few hours! If you can't commit to the whole day, please still sign up - we're flexible and any time you can give really will help. Location: Wimbledon, Esher or Dorking. You can choose which cheer point is nearest to you. What Will I Do? Cheer, support and motivate Alzheimer's Society cyclists at cheer points along the 100 mile route Wave flags, clap thunder sticks and use other materials provided to help make a real impact You'll be a friendly and approachable face of the Alzheimer's Society team Engage with the general public promoting Alzheimer's Society Be active at cheer points throughout the shift What will I need? You'll need to bring your enthusiastic, friendly and fun self! A willingness to get stuck in, volunteering alongside others as part of a team You'll need to listen and communicate well, be reliable and arrive on time Appropriate clothing to keep you comfortable - check the weather forecast Why Get Involved?
