Job Summary Job Title: Support Worker Location: Shipdham Contract: Full time, part time & Relief Hours: Up to 39 hours per week Salary: 9.01 per hour Contact: Jane Bickmore Contact Details: 07736 743705 Information: Driver Essential , You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including early and late shifts, long days and awake nights. Occasionally a sleep-ins may be required for which additional payments will be made. We are looking for full time, part time & relief Support Workers to join our existing teams that works predominately in Shipdham Norfolk. Never considered support work before? Dont worry everyone has transferable skills. The important factor is that you have the right value base, that you see and treat everyone as an individual with dignity & respect, acknowledging that they have the same rights as everyone else. Meeting their goals and aspirations, The role will be varied, not only will you become a positive role model in their life, you will be supporting people with many aspects of daily living such as shopping, preparing meals, housework and support with personal care. The three men we support here thrive on routine and structure as they continually develop. Good effective communication is extremely important not only for the men but between the support team guaranteeing continuity of an excellent support. The role can be very rewarding, however as you would naturally expect there are some difficult and challenging situations. For some people a lack of understanding of the world around them or how to convey their emotions can be demonstrated by a variety of behaviours from repetitive behaviour, to anti-social behaviour at periods of great distress.
