Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Treasurer in the management of the asset and liability management (ALM) function during a transformative stage at Monzo. You would be working within a high performing team facing exciting challenges ahead. The role You'll be responsible for: ALM * Enhance our current ALM framework and policies * Support ALM model design, validation and testing with a focus on IRRBB * Assist in enhancing ALM risk metrics, in particular modelling the balance sheet under differing scenarios IRRBB * Assist in improving effectiveness of governance framework for IRRBB management * Ensure current IRRBB model is integrated with other control processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency, further develop IRRBB reporting templates and create training materials * Keep up to date with latest development in regulatory space related to liquidity and interest rate risk (basis risk) ILAAP, ICAAP, RRP * Implementing the Liquidity and Funding Strategy, producing and developing the ILAAP and the supporting control environment * Support the RRP process and produce the Liquidity Contingency Plan * Work with teams involved in capital management to advise on optimal capital structuring, support the production of the ICAAP Stress Testing * Assist the preparation of stress testing, scenario simulations, and back testing. Ensure appropriate policies are in place with methodology and approaches documented appropriately * Ensure robust controls are in place and that stress testing assumptions sufficiently reflect corresponding risks * Become the owner and the subject matter expert on stress testing MI & Reporting * Produce adequate and accurate reports pertaining to ALM and market sensitivity * Further enhance ALM risk measures, with appropriate analysis and commentary * Assist in developing the implementation of ALM-related KPI and EWI for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes You should apply if: * You have significant ALM risk experience within a banking environment * You have knowledge of current regulatory requirements applicable to effective liquidity management * You have strong knowledge of Balance Sheet Management, ALM, Funds Transfer Pricing, Interest Rate Risk and Liquidity. * You are passionate about working for a scale-up and contributing to our mission Logistics We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team.
