The Role We are currently seeking a Head of ALM & Treasury Middle Office to join our team, based in London. As Head of ALM & Treasury Middle Office you will lead the team covering all areas of market risk analysis, hedging and reporting. You will be an expert in Interest Rate Risk management in the Banking Book ("IRRBB") and have responsibility for ensuring that the bank's exposure to changes in interest rates remains within the Board's risk appetite. The role will require someone who can set and deliver an ambitious development plan to enhance the bank's IRRBB process. The Head of ALM & Treasury Middle Office will be working closely with Finance and Risk, as well as senior management at a board level. Responsibilities Treasury ALM and Middle Office * Lead the preparation of market risk reporting for Treasury, Risk, ALCo and the Board * Develop efficient processes to transfer information from the bank's data warehouse into its interest rate reporting system * Lead the improvement of IRRBB analysis and reporting * Manage the execution of the bank's IRRBB hedging programme * Lead the Treasury product control process, ensuring financial instruments and balance sheet items are correctly represented in Treasury systems and that they are correctly valued ALM Process & Systems Development * Identify a target state for the bank's IRRBB management * Lead an assessment of the Bank's current IRRBB management and identify gaps between current and desired future state * Develop and implement a plan to develop the bank's ALM management Communication * Present the results of IRRBB analysis to senior management in an engaging and meaningful way * Ensure the relevance of IRRBB measures and analysis to senior management Hedge Accounting * Ensure all hedges are appropriately documented in line with company policy; * Liaise closely with internal and external on all internal controls and financial statement reporting General * Relationship and stakeholder management with external parties including auditors and corporate advisors * Strong focus on developing automated reporting tools linked to the ledger systems The Person * Strong knowledge pf IRRBB methodologies and analysis * Strong understanding of the principals of risk management and compliance * Understanding of hedge accounting * Proven leadership experience and able to demonstrate previous process improvement * Numerate academic background and professional qualification ACT, Cert BALM, CFA, FRM or similar (preferred but not essential) * Knowledge of reporting/consolidations packages, i.e. Hyperion/TM1 Banding This role is an SB3 within Shawbrook's internal banding structure
