Job Description

What is the opportunity? * Provide detailed Portfolio Construction analysis on clients overall portfolio and individual strategies. * Develop well thought-out and supported investment recommendations. * Improve existing and develop new analytical/productivity tools in order to improve the depth and/or increase the efficiency of analytical output * Oversee the ongoing external supplier (Clearwater) relationship and manage outsourced production of consolidated investment reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. * Support Head of PCG in all aspects of business related to PCG service offering * Other duties as assigned and agreed from time to time What will you do? Lead the production of written investment reports and presentation materials * Compose value add comments on the consolidated portfolio and underlying strategies. * Evaluate performance and suitability of specific investment managers/strategies in the context of the clients' overall holdings and market conditions, identify gaps and recommend changes as needed * Lead the integration of the Clearwater capability for providing portfolio reporting, AUM and revenue metrics, and automated invoicing * Actively contribute to selection, evaluation and ongoing monitoring of investment products and product range to support PCG and other WM clients, including cees. * Working in conjunction with the broader team, develop new analytical tools to enhance portfolio construction and analysis and manager evaluation capabilities * Act as a key resource and proactively contribute to the BI Investment Committee, including portfolio construction, analysis and house views implementation across the full range of WM investment solutions * Provide support in maintaining PCG procedure documents, adding updates as necessary * Working with marketing, ensure PCG content is current/relevant and maintain the internal website up to date accordingly * Maintain an in-depth understanding of markets, RBC house views, BI philosophy/product offering & be able to articulate same * Follow developments in the financial markets to maintain an understanding of both current and anticipated trends across relevant markets and asset classes. Must-have * Ideally MBA or relevant university degree (economics, finance, statistics, mathematics) * Proficiency in methods of statistical and quantitative analysis * Exceptional computer proficiency and coding skills with knowledge of programming languages/packages used for statistical analysis (R, Python) * Quantitative and analytical mindset Nice-to-have * CFA designation or progress towards What's in it for you?
