**Role Summary:** Reporting to the VP Engineering and Technology for the Oilfield Equipment (OFE) Product company, The Executive Director for OFE Engineering & Technology Operations shall act both operationally & functionally throughout the product company to drive completion on key initiatives and priorities for the business. **Essential Responsibilities:** This key Product Company / HQ role shall be central to the unlocking and delivering of the functions' digital productivity ambitions, as well as deliver tangible product competitiveness through a combination of product structuring, product cost out (should cost/design to value), and advanced design processes + Digital + Define and execute the engineering strategy for the Digital Thread (DT) and Model Based Enterprise (MBE), in full alignment with both BHGE and OFE strategies and priorities, by building and implementing processes and tools to share information through the verticals / functions, to allow for an optimization of the entire OFE value chain. + Implement an organization model and build teams, at OFE level and for the PLs, who will own and provide support on DT consistently across OFE, in close cooperation with the PCs. + Deliver sustainable digital productivity across OFE in line with business targets. + Establish operating rhythm and key metrics for the DT initiatives + Engineering Manufacturing Technology (EMT) + Drive and deliver a dynamic technology cultural change across the adoption of advanced manufacturing techniques, additive, and printing technologies across OFE unlocking the capabilities of the EMT organisation. + NPI Health and Metrics + Manage and lead operations and metrics capability, delivering robust demand and capacity loading of OFE global HC, yield and effectiveness performance, Eng CopQ, and part number health. + Deliver and maintain robust & comprehensive NPI execution health, throughout the OFE and PL Portfolios, utilising Clarity ppm and associated tools to deliver consistent results and timeliness + Oversee NPI program reviews, prioritization, initiation, execution and closure for project work related to the program(s), and delivery of internal / external communications. Deliver as per priorities and defined milestone. + Product Competitiveness + Develop and implement global product cost out / product competitiveness strategy for OFE and implement (piloting within specific Pl as required) + Working directly with PL Product Management Leaders, deliver operationalised product cost out/competitiveness in line with rolling three-year forecast and plan. + Product Structuring + Develop and implement global product structuring strategy for OFE and implement (piloting within specific Pl as required) + Working directly with PL Product Management Leaders, deliver operationalised product structuring in line with rolling three-year forecast and plan. + General + Developing and sustain a strong, candid relationship with business and other functions within OFE and at BHGE level + Be a transformational change agent for the engineering organization and the business as a whole, driving a consistent and cross product line approach, to maximize product effectiveness. + Provide coaching and development to a team of direct reports and broad team of indirect reports to continue to develop critical 'fulfilment' skills in the organization and lead by example with focused execution and delivering on the highest priorities for OFE and the Technology / Engineering organization. **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Engineering degree + Significant experience leading global multi-disciplined teams within a technology environment, and in a matrix organization + Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and customers, to achieve company's priorities and targets + Strong problem solving abilities + Significant years of experience in a leadership role within an engineering environment preferable in the Oilfield Equipment (OFE) area + Strong interpersonal skills + Change agent, and a global mindset + Good communication skills and fluent in English **Desired Characteristics:** + Influential leadership with the ability to partner, inspire, and build consensus. + Familiarity with a variety of engineering areas and OFE products and technology + Ability to identify new approaches to complex problems **About Us:** Baker Hughes, a GE company (NYSE:BHGE) is the world's first and only fullstream provider of integrated oilfield products, services and digital solutions.
