You don't necessarily need experience as we provide full training. In Nailsea, south Bristol, we have various roles supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. We're currently recruiting for new roles supporting three young men as they go through an exciting time in their lives as they move into a new home. We also have roles supporting five active gentlemen who share a home, jobs supporting two ladies and a gentleman who share a house and in another you could support three young ladies. They all lead busy lives which means a great, vibrant atmosphere and a supportive team to join. You'll play a key role in ensuring people can achieve and exceed their goals in life. Coronavirus update: As a key worker, you'll provide essential services, and you'll receive full training, equipment and support. You will need to be available and able to carry out your role during the Coronavirus pandemic. Brandon is committed to protecting our staff, candidates and people we support so we have taken appropriate measures in our recruitment process to minimise the risk of infection. We will continue to monitor and adapt our plans as the Government and Public Health England release updates. You'll support people in all aspects of daily living; from cooking to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also key. As a support worker you'll also support people to do things in their community; from shopping, day trips and going out socialising, to doing sport and visiting day centres. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you'll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. Respectful of people's differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential for some roles. We provide a range of benefits. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support. Full-time support workers work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for these sleep-ins is included in the annual salary figures shown above). We also have some services where sleep-ins are not required and you may work some waking nights. The salary for these roles is 17,051 - 17,774 pa. All support workers have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services and are paid 50-70 extra per sleep-in. View the detailed Job Profile.
