Senior Manager, Experience Design, Manufacturing Location: Birmingham -United Kingdom Job ID: 20WD38966 Position Overview Autodesk is looking for a Senior Manager, Experience Design, Manufacturing to join our Fusion 360 Experience Design (XD) team and lead a talented team of experience designers focused on transforming the manufacturing industry. We seek an experienced and results-driven leader who inspires great work, nurtures talent, and can bring people together in the creation and evolution of best in class experiences that customers love. The role requires a strategic mindset, proven leadership experience, and a passion for promoting design thinking to drive alignment, innovation, and contribution to product strategy. Responsible for working with a team dedicated to re-imagining Fusion 360, you will ensure a strong point of view and execution excellence resulting in a cohesive, modern customer experience. To ensure success, you will be expected to work collaboratively and independently, locally and globally. You understand how to facilitate the balance between tactical and strategic design priorities. And you have a passion for helping to streamline and evolve manufacturing processes to help our customers operate in new and innovative ways Responsibilities * Advocate for customer-centric and dynamic experiences that cross hardware and platform boundaries and align to business strategy * Drive your team to articulate a design vision and evaluate alternate design approaches, considering the cost of implementation and the value to customers * Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and other disciplines ensuring a frictionless product development process and high-quality outcomes * Provide coaching, mentorship and career stewardship for a team of experience designs * Promote a culture of rapid iteration based on insights gleaned from customer research and data analytics * Be a thought leader, staying informed of emerging technologies and trends, to ensure alignment across Autodesk to deliver a cohesive and industry leading customer experience Preferred Qualifications * 8 years' experience in experience design or related field * 4 years' experience mentoring team members or managing a team * Bachelors or equivalent work experience; Masters preferred * Experience driving and articulating a design vision that aligns to customer and business priorities * Experience in the manufacturing industry (subtractive or additive) * Experience using Fusion 360; Mastercam; Solidworks; etc; * Ability to work in agile and fast-moving environment * Excellent facilitation, negotiation and consensus building abilities * Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills. Must have the professional polish and poise to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (customers, staff, peers and senior management) * International travel require
