Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism General Tax Consulting Management Level Senior Manager Job Description & Summary A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You'll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You'll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices. Responsibility: Manage tax consulting engagements such as US in-bound merger & acquisition tax due diligence, transaction structuring, post deal integration / planning without significant partner supervision; Review US federal corporation, partnership, and state income tax returns for China-based multinational companies investing into the US as well as private equity funds that are managed in China; supervise preparation of sales & use tax returns for clients doing business in the US and otherwise assist the clients in other tax compliance matters; Work with individual tax compliance team to provide tax compliance and consulting services to high net worth individual taxpayers; Correspond with the US tax authorities on clients' tax matters including any tax adjustments proposed or assessed by the tax authorities; Work with assurance team and manage US GAAP tax provision (ASC 740) engagements; and Coach staff, senior associates and managers. Requirement: A recognized accounting or equivalent undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited university in the US, or a law degree from an accredited US law school; Tax LL. M. or Masters in Tax is preferred; AICPA qualified or admitted to a US State Bar; At least 10 years of experience in US corporate tax; Fluent in both written and spoken English; Proficient in Mandarin Chinese is preferred; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Sound analytical and organizational skills; and Team-oriented. Applicants with less experience may be considered as manager.
