Job Description

The role covers helping manage market risk for CBNA UK. CBNA UK is a Major Legal Entity under Citi's booking model and contains the most market risk of the CBNA Branches globally. The successful candidate will join the TBRM legal vehicle market risk team, reporting to the Head of CBNA UK Market Risk. The role requires analysing market movements and their impact on the legal vehicle portfolio, evaluating and reviewing limit frameworks, input into risk appetite and internal and external governance forums. The role is required to enhance Citi's oversight of the traded risk in one of its major legal entities. The successful candidate should be able to navigate through the organization to work with key stakeholders, and connect to key people efficiently. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. The candidate must be able to contribute to key projects and regulatory deliverables, often to a tight deadline. **Key Responsibilities:** The role requires analysing market movements and their impact on the legal vehicle portfolio, evaluating and reviewing limit frameworks, calibrating risk appetite and leading internal and external governance forums. As such: + Finance industry experience in Market Risk, Risk Analytics or a trading role involving complex products is preferred. + Solid quantitative skills, confidence in data interpretation, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are expected. + Attention to detail, in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills are paramount. **Development Value:** This role will provide unique visibility, cross-functional and cross-Risk experience and knowledge. The position involves a significant amount of interaction with senior management and direct involvement in a variety of the critical strategic projects within Citi. The role will provide a strong understanding of the regulatory environment, the respective businesses and Risk governance. **Knowledge/Experience:** + A strong Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus or demonstrated quantitative aptitude is required. + Good and sound understanding of the markets and Market Risk Management. + An understanding the market micro structure and markets operating environment. + Exceptional writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into "user-friendly" language, and effectively present in text or slide format + Strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills, ability to analyse and interpret data + Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume and complex environment with changing priorities + Self-starter, ability to quickly assimilate and analyse large amounts of information across a variety of topics + Proven ability to partner and collaborate across the Firm, excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, with the ability to build relationships, partner effectively and build a strong internal network across functions and throughout the global Risk network together with the matrix at all levels of the organisation + 'Process Improvement' mindset to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the services offered + Strong tenacity and resilient under pressure and self-motivated in a fast paced and demanding environment + Highly engaged, strong attention to detail, and outcome oriented + Strong analytical problem solving and the person should have a high level of integrity to deal with highly confidential data.
