Job Description

Technical Director | Fire Risk Management Opportunity for an Associate Director/Technical Director level Fire Consultant to become our national lead for Fire Risk Management, notionally based out of our London office, on Tanner Street, SE1 3LE (big views of the London skyline from the rooftop terrace). This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful team and realise your full potential, working alongside a highly qualified and passionate group of fire safety professionals as we take our developing national team to the next levels (deliberately plural). Hydrock is an independently owned multidisciplinary consultancy, of circa 500 staff, operating out of 16 offices. It is one of The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For and a champion of well-being (note our recent Health and Wellbeing Leader of the Year award at the NCE100). We believe part of our success is looking after our people and our values help create a unique, dynamic, working environment. Our values include having fun, giving something back and our families coming first- you can check out all 10 here (and don't miss the Challenge Day video on the same page!). Reporting to the national Divisional Director for Fire, Kevin McKeown, you will be expected to develop our current Fire Risk Management business, working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary colleagues within and outside the Fire Division to optimise our business development and project delivery activities and grow the business. At the time of writing the team are exceeding their commercial targets despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and are still planning for considerable growth in the year ahead. You will have significant experience as a consultant, delivering first class service in both residential and commercial properties, relevant fire qualifications and professional membership with a relevant fire institution. Your ambition and endeavour combined with excellent operational and technical skills and a highly collaborative approach will enable you to seize the opportunity. What can you expect? Inspired, collaborative and highly motivated colleagues. A great team, office and employer. A genuine opportunity to create and to be recognised and rewarded. The remuneration package will include a competitive salary, car allowance and employer pension contribution, 25 days annual leave (with the option to buy/sell up to five days), family private medical cover, discretionary performance related bonus, well-being bonus and a wide variety of flexible benefits. There are also little things like a paid day off for good causes and free fresh fruit in every office. Check out our 2019 wrap up video here. We have several team, office, regional and divisional events but 'Challenge Day' is when the whole company comes together for a paid day of fun! You can check out our most recent Challenge Day here! A career with Hydrock offers you the chance to achieve your potential in a strongly people-focused and values-led business that provides great opportunities for professional and personal development.
