Our continued success depends on it! Position Overview: Supporting role in the accounting close and financial reporting process for Insulet's European operations. Tasked with managing accounting entries, documents, payment information and recording other financial transactions. Work closely with finance leaders in a fast-growing public company to execute on financial operational initiatives, monthly financial reporting and internal control compliance. Responsibilities: * Works as part of the finance & accounting department with a main focus on managing accounting entries, processing documents (a.o. invoices), payment information (i.e. bank transactions) and recording other financial transactions. Keep documentation of all transactions. * Support the execution of the monthly financial close process for Insulet's European business. * Execute and support creation of journal entries and account reconciliations in relation to general ledger accounting work performed internally and the external accounting service provider. * Assist third party accounting service providers in the timely execution of accounting operations including areas mainly around accounts payable, bank, VAT and expense reimbursement. * Support the quality and timeliness of internal control requirements associated with general ledger reporting. * Support the team in working with external advisors in the preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting notes as well as the preparation of corporate tax computations, returns, and ad hoc tax requests. * Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: * Up to 5 years related experience in a fast-growing environment. * Aspires to achieve professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CA or ACCA) or European equivalent * Basic knowledge of UK and European accounting and auditing standards, and an awareness of US GAAP, IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley legislation. * Prior experience working with Microsoft AX, SAP, Oracle or a similar ERP system a plus. * Prior experience working in a publically traded or large private company a plus. * Prior experience working with consolidations, foreign currency a plus.
