Job Description
Job Title: Lead Accountant (Project Accounting) Reporting To: Accounting Manager Location : KBR Hill Park Court - Leatherhead Responsible For: Performing advanced and moderately complex accounting activities related to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements, requiring a high degree of accuracy. Responsible for reconciling and analysis of complex balance sheet accounts. In addition, responsible for complete AR function actively seeks opportunities that will enhance the Company through increasing revenue, reducing costs, accurate budgeting and sustained focus on productivity. Attempts to maximize value through an understanding of operational costs, expenses and the impact of decisions on the bottom line. Key Accountabilities: * To carry out month end activities to close out the period. * To produce flash results * To produce monthly management summary and management reports * To resolve the invoice resolution queues * To perform KART Balance Sheet reconciliations each month. * To prepare unbilled reports * To chase outstanding debts and ensure none over 60 days old working with Project Managers. * To raise monthly invoices to clients for the operations. * To help facilitate monthly financial reviews with operations. * To implement and monitor internal financial controls SOX/FCPA. * Regularly review cost against budget, actively seeking ways to save costs / areas to improve * Works within allocated budgets and resources * Regularly reviews processes which have a financial impact * Participates in the setting of forecasts and plans Qualifications: ...
