Job Description

**Role Summary:** EHS Manager is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining the Zone strategy on Environmental issues by leading multiple sites for GE HC. This individual will also function in a team environment with other members of the business level EHS staff to ensure EHS compliance, to identify, prevent and resolve potential environmental issues and to mitigate environmental liabilities. **Essential Responsibilities:** Key responsibilities include: + Manage all aspects (technical, regulatory/third party interface, reporting, permitting, compliance, financial, administrative, etc.) of GE Healthcare projects and permits in compliance with relevant regulatory programs and GE corporate policies + Ensure appropriate management of consultants and legal counsel on all projects and coordinate efforts of other EHS staff members and site EHS professionals on various projects as required + Develop and track EHS budgets + Establish and enhance Environmental programs site wide that support the GEHC and initiatives + Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans and budgets to address deficiencies in comparison to regulations and internal policy/protocol + Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to site EHS managers to ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements + Participate in EHS compliance and program audits of manufacturing sites and service operations + Keep management apprised of progress and significant developments on key projectsQuality Specific Goals: + Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position + Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines + Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology or related technical discipline or equivalent knowledge or experience + Experience managing environmental site characterization investigations (Phase I, II, etc), remedial investigation, feasibility study, remedial design, risk assessment, remediation, demolition, decontamination, etc + Regulatory knowledge and experience working under U.S. federal and state and /or equivalents regulations covering contamination, site investigation and property transfer such as CERCLA, RCRA, OSHA, TSCA, ISRA, etc. and capable of learning requirements and applying this experience internationally + Compliance experience with federal and state EHS regulations (CAA, CWA, OSHA, codes, etc) + Proven project and program management skillsApplications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.
