Programme Manager London, England Job Reference:UBM-FIN-06203 Location:London, England Closing Date:11/07/2019 Department:Finance Division:Global Support This role sits within the Global Support (GS) Change Delivery function and is responsible for the identification, set up, planning and coordination of a set of related/un related projects within a programme of medium /large scale strategic business change. You will manage interdependencies and deliver outputs/outcomes in support of specific business strategies and objectives. The strategic programmes / projects manged through GS Change Delivery will vary from merger and acquisitions integration/disintegration to changes to systems, processes within the existing business to support the Group. You will be responsible for the maintenance of a strategic view over the set of projects, providing the framework for implementing business initiatives, or large-scale change, by conceiving, maintaining and communicating a vision of the outcome of the programme and associated benefits. (The vision, and the means of achieving it, may change as the programme progresses). You will need to manage the agreement of business requirements, and translation of requirements into operational plans. You will lead the determination, monitoring, and review of programme scope, costs, and schedule, programme resources, inter-dependencies and programme risk. You may be required to establish and run a temporary Programme Management Office (PMO) structure to deliver a specific programme. In addition, you will be required to be flexible with your working hours dependent upon the time zones of various programme/project stakeholders. You must ensure that all company policies are adhered to and that specific duties are carried out within set time limits whilst providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues. Key responsibilities The Programme Manager is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required: + Direct and manage the assigned programme / group of projects through its full life cycle in line with the defined Change Delivery processes + Manage Integration and divestitures using internal playbooks and processes whilst tailoring and evolving as required + Define the programme scope, objectives and benefits in collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders + Define and manage the business case and actively track benefits once approved + Plan and manage the overall progress, resolving issues and proactively managing risks + Manage interdependencies across the programme as well as across other programmes/ projects within the overall portfolio across the group + Maintain the overall coherence and integrity of the programme + Mange the budget and forecast and validating the business case/benefits throughout the course of the programme + Work closely with the Head of Change Delivery/ CD manager to facilitate the appointment of individuals to project delivery teams within the programme (as required) + Ensure change management and stakeholder engagement is centric to the overall delivery of the change/outputs + Report progress at regular intervals to the sponsor and other senior stakeholders using the relevant practices defined by the CD. + Work closely with the identified business change manager(s) to ensure they are proactively engaged and ready to accept the change and realise the benefits + Manage third parties and contracts in accordance to company policy PEOPLE Management RESPONSIBILITIES + Programme Team workload management + Motivate team to ensure programme deliverables are met + Support communication structures across the team to ensure all key messages are communicated + Participate in Recruitment & Selection processes (specific to programme) + Act as a role model to others and proactively share learnings with other members of the Change Delivery team Skills & Abilities + Act with integrity, tact and diplomacy to formulate trust at all levels + Excellent, proactive communication skills + Wide variety of communication styles and the ability to understand your audience and tailor your style accordingly + Understands the impact of change both locally and in the global environment. + Looks to find the root cause of issues and knowledge of when quick wins or long term solutions are appropriate + Uses measurements and data alongside intuition when problem solving + Influential and able to communicate rationale behind thought processes + Self-motivated, driven and open to new challenges + Ability to remain calm and focused whilst under pressure + Immersive and impactful presentation skills to senior management + Demonstrable success in balancing the needs of the business with required quality of service + Significant managerial background preferable + Ability to work positively and collaboratively with a full range of individuals and groups involved within the programme + Excellent knowledge and tech
