Job Description
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for the HVAC 2D and 3D design, drawings, and modelling relating to HVAC equipment and systems for oil and gas installations. The required competency and skills would typically have been built up working for a consultant engineering company, equipment fabricator, or end user company. Personnel would be expected to have a varied and extensive experience of HVAC equipment in the onshore and offshore (platform topsides and accommodation) oil and gas project environment. This would include: concept definition, front end engineering design, detailed design, commissioning, and operations. Consideration will also be given to candidates with a proven track record of designing HVAC systems for the building services, pharmaceutical, and nuclear industries. A specialist and detailed knowledge of air handling equipment and ductwork designs including the skills to prepare and review: air flow diagrams; D HVAC GAs using Draft; and 3D CAD models. Also required is a working knowledge of industry standards for HVAC equipment. Essential skills include: * Experience in HVAC design for building services projects for residential and industrial purposes * Familiar with building regulations, ductwork design standards and establish industry practices * Preferably familiar with design tools such a Revit, PDMS, AutoCAD or Microstation. Ability to think and work in 3D environment is a must. * Ability to read air flow diagrams and ducting flow diagrams * Ability to produce 3D sketches of the equipment from 2D vendor drawings Within this role you will be expected to: * Develop HVAC 3D Model * Produce duct layout drawings and isometrics * Work with the HVAC engineers to produce air flow diagrams and ducting flow diagrams * Carry out investigations and studies on design related issues * Attend client and design team coordination meetings Job success will depend on interpersonal skills and the effective interaction with others. Selected personnel will be highly competent in written and spoken communication.
