KBR employs approximately 37,500 people worldwide (including our joint ventures), with customers in more than 80 countries, and operations in 40 countries, across three synergistic global businesses: This role is within Energy Solutions , including onshore oil and gas; LNG (liquefaction and regasification)/GTL; oil refining; petrochemicals; chemicals; fertilizers; differentiated EPC; maintenance services (Brown & Root Industrial Services); offshore oil and gas (shallow-water, deep-water, subsea); floating solutions (FPU, FPSO, FLNG & FSRU); program management and consulting services Our Marine Engineering Discipline have opportunities for a Designer to join an experienced FPSO hull design team in support of all phases of design from Concept through to Start Up. Able to support "digital twin" requirements alongside the Layout team and also to produce marine specific deliverables and support the Naval Architectural and Marine Engineering teams. Will be a major influencer of topsides disciplines and will be capable of operating independently to ensure hull requirements are managed within the whole facility. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and related experience. Essential Skills: * 2-D and 3-D Model generation and use. * AVEVA Marine (Hull) * Ship Design House or Shipyard experience * Proven marine design experience on complex vessels e.g. oil & gas, cruise, defence. * Ship Hull layouts (systems, structure and general). Preferred Skills: Familiar with the following: * Ship systems. * Ship machinery space and deck arrangements. * Ship structural arrangements. * Outfit and accommodation. * Class deliverables. * Commercial ship construction.
