Job Title Associate - Strategic Advisor Job Description Summary Associate - Strategic Advisor Job Description Associate - Strategic Advisor Are you interested in moving into a growing strategic real estate consultancy team within one of the largest commercial real estate companies in EMEA? If so, then our Property Strategy Advisor role might be right for you. Our Strategic Consulting team is currently looking to hire an Associate to join our London team with an initial brief to provide strategic property advice to a specific government client. Job Description The Property Strategy Advisor will join our London team to provide the client with ongoing strategic advice on its current three estate clusters. You will work as one of three core advisers in a new client strategy team. Initially, the role will be dedicated to servicing this one client account, working onsite at their offices in London at least three days a week, and the remaining two days most likely being spent in the our City office. Line management will be to our Principal Strategic Advisor, a Partner in the Public Sector Advisory team. Responsibilities on a day to day basis include: * Liaising with the relevant client cluster lead, senior managers, services providers, property occupiers, and finance team, to identify opportunities to improve alignment of the estate to business needs as they change to meet the public service delivery agenda. (Typically, the seeking solutions to achieve savings and/or improved value for money in use of the estate.) * Being proactive in identifying projects and solutions that deliver property efficiencies and more effective outcomes, seeking and exploring innovations where appropriate. * Producing reports, including strategic studies and HMT Green Book complaint business cases (Strategic, Outline and Full), to identify, underpin and support transformation projects. (Reports must be supported by comprehensive evidence and analysis.) * Working closely, and communicating effectively, with senior departmental officials within the client's Estates Team and beyond * Liaising closely with the wider Cushman & Wakefield client contract team and with our wider Public Sector Advisory consultancy and other in-house resources * Appointing, managing and liaising with specialist sub-contractors, as required * Maintaining records of instructions, and direct and indirect fee generation as appropriate Successful candidates are likely to have experience in providing strategic property advice to major private/corporate or public sector property occupiers and have: * Relevant knowledge of the workings of government departments and/or of the wider public sector * The ability to collate and analyse complex and diverse property data to draw implications and conclusions and be able to communicate these to a non-property audience * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Very strong team player attributes * Commercial acumen * Sound IT skills to support the required data analysis and production of reports for the senior client audience.
