Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose The Executive Sourcing Leader will own the vision, strategy and deliverables for all aspects of the Sourcing operation for the Oilfield Equipment Product Company including quality, product cost and fulfillment. Essential Responsibilities + Lead commodity Sourcing with accountability over direct / indirect buy, and cost reduction targets + Develop, implement and lead overall supplier strategy for commodity area, including simplification, ensuring sourcing process integrity, and optimize productivity, quality and fulfillment + Partner with the product management / product development in order to drive margin expansion through supplier's strategy and partnership + Set sourcing strategy and lead a team with strong process responsibility to develop complex and comprehensive supplier / buyer contractual relationships to meet the business needs + Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and reputation requirements + Partner with Supplier Quality to drive quality initiatives for Sourcing + Be responsible for people management activities including recruiting, performance development (PD), compensation, and organizational structure + Develop, plan, and manage programs to meet Baker Hughes purchasing commitments in Sourcing + Manage the complete purchasing and contract administration functions for a large sourcing section as required to meet program commitments + Implement and maintain a quality improvement process targeting reduction in product variation and product losses using key management tools + Collaborate with manager in setting realistic and challenging operational goals, and contribute to their accomplishment + Periodically prepare and implement supporting work plans + Manage Buyer / Contract Administrators in fulfilling purchasing commitments and organize the appropriate program plans + Provide for evaluation of suppliers' capabilities and identification of appropriate items to buy + Provide support to Baker Hughes Marketing and Sales in their proposal efforts Qualifications/Requirements + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics or Business from an accredited college or university + Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sourcing, Production Control, Distribution, Production Planning or Business Management + Extensive experience in managerial roles at senior level Eligibility Requirements + Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time Baker Hughes will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
