This role sits within the Research, Business and Innovation Department. As a department, we provide specialist expertise with regards to building external partnerships, community and public engagement, European funded research and technological development, research and Knowledge Exchange (KE) funding and bid support and Professional Development. The Professional Development Team supports a broad range of open and bespoke training programmes for individuals and businesses, with many of our programmes being accredited by professional bodies including the ILM and DMI, providing participants with a recognised qualification and access to professional networks. About you As the Project Coordinator for the team, you will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, along with team members to ensure the smooth running of our suite of programmes. You will be responsible for working with academic colleagues to meet all required professional accreditation standards, and will be influential in supporting the strategy of the Faculty's professionally accredited programmes, becoming the expert in professional accreditation processes and regulations. You will also coordinate a number of bespoke training programmes working with key academics; our client contacts; and the participants to help support the design and delivery of the projects and capture learning for future opportunities. You will also lead a small team who support query handling; manage course bookings and course management activities, to ensure our day-to-day business operations run smoothly, We are looking for someone with a strong customer service ethos, enthusiasm and proactivity, and an ability to prioritise. The role is both outward facing and working across various UWE department and teams, so a commitment to excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential. The team is based the heart of our training suite and so you will have daily contact with a range of visitors and clients. The area of professional development is continuously changing and developing, and so we are looking for someone who is keen to lead on change initiatives within the team and source new ways of working and improving our service to help grow.
