In 2018 the full year profit before tax was 213m. **Position** Title: Internal Communications Manager Location: IMI's Global Headquarters, Birmingham Business Park. Will involve an element of international travel, depending on business needs Reporting Relationship: Group HR Director Key Stakeholder Relationships: Heads of Group Departments, members of Group HR Leadership team, Divisional Internal Communications Managers and Divisional HR Directors. **Specific Responsibilities** Review current internal communication channels and activities, and investigate new channels (eg social media), implementing agreed changes that will deliver significant improvements in employee engagement and understanding, in an effective, cost efficient manner Draft and deliver engaging internal communication material, ensuring relevant information is shared in the most appropriate and timely way to support business objectives Provide expert advice and support to the Group HR Director, other members of the Human Resources Leadership team, divisional functional colleagues and key line managers on communications with regards to both ongoing processes and strategic projects (eg Employee Engagement, Organisational Change, Leadership Development programmes) Project lead the review and management of IMI's intranet sites ensuring they meet business and employee needs as required. Build dialogue and relationships with key stakeholders including IMI's Executive team and group-wide HR and Business Leaders. Use these relationships to keep abreast of business news and utilise in communications as appropriate Manage suppliers and external stakeholders in a cost effective and efficient manner. Assist with the design of content for key events such as Group Conference and other functional conferences, training events and employee communication forums. **The Person** **Qualifications and Experience** Proven track record in internal communications and specifically in driving employee engagement Experience gained in large, complex, international corporate environment essential. Ideally in industrial/ engineering based industries. Experience gained in a HQ environment preferred - FTSE100 or FTSE 250 organisation desirable Ability to travel internationally as required - c2/3 international trips per year Degree or equivalent/relevant professional qualification **Leadership Behaviours** First class communications skills - both written and verbal. Able to write clear communication material and copy that engages employees, winning hearts and minds Strongly IT savvy with knowledge of advanced social media and intranet based methodologies Excellent relationship management and influencing skills Strong organisational and project management skills. A demonstrable ability to 'get stuff done'.
