Churchill Howard are recruiting on behalf of an industry leader on the search for an internal auditor to join the team at their Head Office in Birmingham city centre. Working closely alongside the business and part of the group finance function; this role has significant stakeholder engagement and holds a valuable status within the organization. This opportunity is perfect for those seeking a move from practice into industry due to the training it provides with support from the Group Head of Internal Audit. In a company which promotes progression - it can also be a fast track into a finance and accounts role if desired in the longer term. This role is also open to those who have experience in an internal audit function previously. Responsibilities: Advise on the efficiency and appropriateness of current and proposed financial systems and controls. Conduct investigations into financial accounting and process issues Be the Internal Audit representative on change initiatives/projects that carry large Finance implications Understanding finance and operational risks, processes and mitigating controls over a series of processes across finance and other business functions. Be the Internal Audit business partner within Finance. To be considered for the role you will be a qualified ACA/ACCA or hold the equivalent Internal Audit qualification. You will be driven and passionate in your approach, have a good eye for detail and an ability to problem solve.
