Job Description AGS is a complex and rapidly growing global business division of the Allegis Group. It requires a Director of Financial Operations (DFO) to address a component of the division with a view to maximizing the business value and returns to the ultimate owner. This will require enhancements and improvements to controls, process, documentation, procedures and practices within the financial and legal framework. Additionally, the business requires strong financial and commercial leadership and a Director of Financial Operations (DFO), able to balance the longer-term planning with immediate execution and an outcome driven, detailed and hands-on approach. The Director of Financial Operations (DFO) will play a change management and performance management role in promoting operating efficiency throughout the business division as well as delivering financial and commercial leadership. Role Overview + Reporting to the Executive Director of Financial Operations, lead the overall commercial, financial, and legal aspects of a section of the division. This will include performance management. + Working with the shared services finance function, ensure all accounting and external reporting requirements of the division are met. + Develop, in conjunction with the Executive Director of Financial Operations, strategies and the tactics for business growth and continuous improvement related to the efficiency and financial management of the Division, including contract management. + Develop an understanding of the business model and be responsible for any financial activities related implementations and structural consolidations in line with the Executive Director and the Regional Leadership Team. + Direct reports include 1 x Regional Controller and 1 x Contracts and compliance Manager. Work with the Group Accounting, Finance & Legal teams across the breadth of the Division. + Manage the budgets and forecasts for the Division and ensure that accurate monthly management accounts are prepared for the Leadership Team together with high quality Board packs. + Ensure that all those involved with AGS in the commercial management, pricing and contracts, and finance and accounting organisations throughout EMEA are being constantly developed and trained to enhance their full capability and the productivity of the function. + Work directly with the Executive Director to develop and maintain division policies as well as those associated with risk management and compliance Qualifications + A clear ability to lead as a Director of Finance & Operations, supporting the Executive Director in all aspects of financial control, commercial management, reporting, risk management, and M&A. + Prior experience in leading and managing in a complex, geographically dispersed environment is a plus. + A sound knowledge of the financial activities, policies and processes of a substantial company. + A proven understanding of contemporary accounting, financial modelling, risk management and business systems. + Demonstrate experience in implementing and managing performance management networks. + The ability to initiate and lead the sharing of best practice. + Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiation and business management from a financial perspective. + Understanding of corporate governance issues and sound experience working with a results-focused management team. + Performance driven and accountable and a demonstrated ability to maintain a strong bottom line focus during a period of growth and change. + Experience in articulating and implementing the financial vision and direction for a geographically diverse business.
