Your Opportunity Operational incidents have increased in frequency and severity, and operational resilience is now as important to the financial services industry as financial resilience. Central banks and supervisory bodies are moving toward requiring financial services firms to evidence their operational resilience. This is against the backdrop of technology, regulation and customer demand pressuring financial services organisations to deliver continuous service. Operational resilience is about anticipating, protecting from, preparing for, and recovering from disruption to the services a business provides its customers. Operational resilience is customer-focused and considers a broad range of risks - including digital, strategic, regulatory, technology and operational risk. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to play a significant role in shaping how large financial services organisations build resilience into their digital transformation journeys, incorporate resilience into their Enterprise Risk Frameworks, and enhance operational resilience using digital technology. Your Role Our Technology and Digital Risk team of 150 UK professionals sits within our Risk Advisory practice. We support our clients in the financial services sector to manage risk by designing, implementing and assuring risk management processes and frameworks across technology and business functions. Our Technology and Digital Risk team is expanding as we help financial services institutions going through digital transformations build resilience into their services and operations. We are looking for a top performing professional to join this dynamic and fast-growing team to help us meet the demand for our skillset in the market place, and build out our capability further. As a member of our Technology and Digital Risk team, the types of work you will be involved in include: * Designing solutions to key digital, technology and operational resilience challenges faced by our clients * Working with financial services organisations to ensure their most important business services are resilient, including by effectively incorporating resilience into Enterprise Risk Frameworks * Designing and implementing controls to mitigate the risk from the use of cloud and other third party providers, and ensure that operational resilience is maintained * Using knowledge of operational resilience challenges to develop solutions leveraging the latest digital technologies * Designing and implementing target operational resilience models for digital risk functions Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with our high-profile clients across one or more of the retail banking, capital markets, insurance and investment management sectors. There will also be the opportunity to engage with a broad set of individuals continually adapting, learning and developing as you work with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement operational resilience frameworks over cutting edge technology environments. Responsibilities * Delivering client engagements ranging from high-value advisory work through to large-scale execution of operational resilience programmes, including managing delivery teams. * Building your expertise in the financial services industry sector to develop genuine insight for our clients, and sharing this knowledge with the wider team. * Contributing to the development of innovative products and services that respond to market developments and the changing risk and resilience landscape. * Helping to develop new business with our existing clients and building relationships with new clients. * Supporting Deloitte's commitment to creating a culture of respect and inclusion for all of our people. Your Professional Experience Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, question the status quo and deliver effectively against challenging objectives. Knowledge of the latest technology trends, how these are being deployed across Financial Services and/or other industry sectors, and an appreciation of the risks they present. Experience in leading programmes to enhance operational resilience frameworks across financial services organisations. Expertise in developing and reviewing robust controls frameworks to support the operational resilience strategy.
