Job Description

RoleSummary: The Lead Engineer Technologist will lead Pressure Control projects, and support products and services workload locally and globally when required, with engineering issues and actively contribute to the technical development of the Engineering Department. They are also to interact with the other departments to optimize OTD. EssentialResponsibilities: HSE + Ensure HSE compliance at all times + Ensure 100% HSE training conducted on time + Report any HSE issues Operational + Responsible for their quality of the work performed in thedepartment + Log activity of the tasks assigned and take ownership in follow upand on time delivery Competence development + Ensure 100% on time my learning training + Create yearly individual training plan together with Manager + Follow through on agreed training plan + Knowledge /experience sharing within the department Technical + Support CTR process and scoping of Pressure Control engineeringactivities, when needed + Lead technical support function for Pressure Control Projects& Products + Lead the Design and modification of mechanical products inclusiveof design reviews, wellhead, Valve, XT, tools and related equipment. + Proficient in Mechanical codes and calculations (ASME VIII, API6A), Mathcad software. + Recommend solutions and lead improvements to meet technical andproject/product field requirements + Lead project and product cost out initiatives + Customer contact - Lead technical clarifications and meetings + Verification of third party procedures, drawings and documents + Review customer requirements, handle deviations to customerspecifications + Responsible for preparing equipment documents including drawings,design verification packages, Bill of Materials and user documentation + Assisting assembly and testing + Lead Risk assessment, studies and SoW creation + Experience with Creo 3 (Pro NC proficient), ACAD, 3D models,tolerance stack ups + Derive models for use in analysis + Support on call rota for field issue resolution Qualifications/Requirements: + MEng or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalentexperience + Extensive Knowledge of API6A and International & NationalRegulations + Experienced with Surface Wellhead and flow control Equipmentdesign & operation + Experienced in mechanical hardware design and development + Ability to work independently and lead project teams, gainprogress and efficient solutions + Excellent English communication skills both oral and written + Strong skill to work in a global and cross-functional environment. + Willingness to take ownership and responsibility DesiredCharacteristics: + Familiarwith the Oil & Gas Pressure Control Surface Wellhead and flow controlEquipment + Abilityto work independently, gain progress, efficient solutions, high quality in workby influencing + MechanicalEngineering drafting techniques, geometrical dimensioning and tolerances + Abilityto interface successfully with all levels of the organization + Mustdemonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and externalcustomers + Abilityto handle confidential and sensitive material a professional and discretemanner + Ableto perform in a team and under high pressure + Proactivewith flexible attitude + Ableto work independently Locations: Stoneywood, Aberdeen This is your opportunity to learn more, do more, live the career you have imagined and be part of a truly diverse organization Baker Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
