Our integrated administration platform includes case management, document management, and ad-hoc reporting to provide administrative staff with the productivity and efficiency tools they need to get the job done. The role: As a Pensions Analyst in our National Projects team, you will work with a range of pension and projects specialists to deliver a high-quality service for new and existing Buck clients for all the UK offices. Key responsibilities: + Adhere to team standards, using best practices, project criteria and audit requirements + Undertakes assigned work in a timely and accurate manor, delivering on agreed target dates + Work closely with all teams (admin, consultancy, actuarial, PSD) to ensure work progresses seamlessly through to completion + Supports department in delivering a high-quality service to our clients + Analysis and interpretation of scheme rules and actuarial instructions + Identifies process improvement opportunities and supports senior staff with implementation of them + Produces Project Update Reports for both internal and external clients + Retain high-level knowledge of legislation within the pension areas + Training, coaching and supporting junior members of the team + To peer review and ensure own work is peer reviewed as appropriate Type of projects: + GMP reconciliations for both Scheme Cessation and Scheme Reconciliation Services (SRS) + GMP Rectifications for both Scheme Cessation and Scheme Reconciliation Services (SRS) + Data Cleansing exercises + Bulk Trivial Commutations & Bulk CETV exercises + Buy-Ins + Equalisation exercises + Scheme Closure exercises + DC Wind-ups What we look for: + Good understanding of DB (defined benefits) Pension experience with good technical knowledge; + Strong final salary calculations experience; + Understanding of pension scheme rules and actuarial instructions; + Experience of GMP rectification or reconciliation exercise is a distinct advantage; + Intermediary to Advance Excel knowledge; + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; + Ability to work productively as a team member and experience of working in a project team; + MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) experience; + Strong communication skills both verbal and written; + Ability to take responsibility for quality of own work and using their initiative; + Able to build constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
