Job Description
Can you keep things ticking smoothly? We need someone with excellent attention to detail who wants to join us in the active role of Post Room Operative. You'll be busy every day, meeting lots of new colleagues and providing a valuable service. Maintain the smooth, confidential and efficient running of the post and delivery services of the company. Liaise with delivery personnel and staff to maintain service levels and ensure that any concerns or issues are resolved to the happiness of users. Your Role: * Provide assistance to employees with any queries that may occur, ensuring the post room is operational during the opening hours of 08.30 to 17.30 Monday to Friday * Deal with internal/external telephone enquiries and assist the facilities team with issues. * Work to improve service by actively suggesting improvements and implementing where approved. * Collect incoming items and post from the building's Loading Bay on a regular basis and sort and distribute to the correct central slots or recipient's desk * Accept receipt of Special delivery items and ensure items are received by addressee. Ensure that all post is signed for if required. * Collect post from internal/outgoing slots throughout the day. Frank external mail and record Special deliveries to be collected by Royal Mail. * Log couriers onto the DHL portal in preparation for collection by DHL and arrange UK, and International collections through the current service provider. * Liaise with archiving company to order archive boxes, email recipient on arrival of the boxes. Also to arrange collection of archive boxes. * Manage stationery order and carry out facilities and post administration. * Have a full grasp of the company's Health and Safety policy Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications: * Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent * Prioritises and organises own workload to ensure deadlines are met. A proactive, professional and flexible approach to work * Builds and develops relationships with internal and external customers * Superb attention to detail in written communication and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work on own initiative whilst maintaining phenomenal team spirit. * Able to adopt a common sense approach with attention to detail.
