Job Description
Southwark Council are seeking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker to join a well-managed team in the Post Adoption. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels. Southwark pay close attention to looking after their Social Workers and strive to ensure they feel supported and welcomed in their roles. The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes: * This will be within a systematic framework responding to the needs of children, prospective adopters and adoptive families. * The post holder will need to have previous of using a Case Management System for recording. * Experience of direct social work with children, birth families and adopters is desirable, as well as someone who can work on their own initiative and in a team setting. * The importance of awareness issues relating to communities from diverse backgrounds and working effectively to social work interventions. * It will also include supporting the Helpline by triaging telephone call and e-mails coming into the Post Adoption Service. To ideal candidate will have: * Social Work England registration * Eligibility to work in the UK * Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA) Working with Ackerman Pierce you will be guaranteed weekly payment and access to continued profession development, including a dedicated consultant to support you through the interview and on boarding process.
