Job Title: Editor, Gas Job type: Permanent Location: London Head Office, Holborn Reporting Relationship: Senior Editor Argus is a fast-growing global B2B media company providing essential information on commodity markets. We are growing quickly, adding new markets, new services, new delivery options and improved analytical tools. Job Purpose The Editor, Gas will produce, direct and edit market coverage, news and analysis. You will develop broad networks across the Gas market to ensure deep knowledge. You will represent Argus at conferences and events. You will work with the highest standards of journalistic independence and integrity. Key responsibilities * Lead and manage a team of reporters * Coordinate copy for publication online and in a daily newsletter * Coordinate collation and curation of relevant datasets to support analysis * Guide and edit commentary/news/analysis * Provide high quality market coverage, news and analysis * Guide and promote original analysis of the markets * Be rigorous in applying methodology and internal compliance processes * Represent Argus in webinars and at external meetings, conferences and industry events * Interact with London commercial teams * Forge new contacts in the European markets * Continually evaluate the report and price assessments to identify opportunities for development Skills and Experience * A detailed understanding of how markets work, with prior experience of Genfuels markets * Management and leadership skills * Excellent networking skills with extensive contacts within the Gas market * Experience of writing and editing market-relevant news with the ability to meet tight deadlines * Excellent English language and numerical skills * A proven track record of setting high editorial standards in interactions with both editors and reporting teams * Self-motivation and initiative to drive project forward About Argus Media Argus is an independent media organisation with over 1,000 staff.
