Job Description

Furze Hill House was opened in November 2007 as a purpose built Home for 40 older people. Most of the residents are from the local area and many continue to remain in touch with families, friends and the local community. It is located on the outskirts of the lovely and historic North Norfolk market town of North Walsham. Working as part of a team and being responsible to the Domestic supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the home is cleaned to a high standard and it is properly maintained including attention to matters of health & safety and hygiene regulations. The main duties & responsibilities are found within the job description. You may from time to time be asked to cover catering general assistant duties in line with the requirements of the home, and subject to necessary training for the role You will need good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with older people, some of whom are living with Dementia. Ability to work comfortably in a Christian environment, operate within professional boundaries and within Older People Services Values are necessary prerequisites for the post. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of COSHH, the Ability to lone work and under pressure, a flexible approach and good time keeping skills. Training will be provided.
