Job Description Reporting into the Head of Logistics our Senior Warehouse Manager will have responsibility for successful operational performance within our York distribution centre as part of the senior management team on the ground. We are looking for an astute professional with strong leadership skills to contribute to our continuous improvement practises and smooth running of our growing warehouse operations. Responsibilities People Management: Motivate and encourage team members at all times Co-ordinate and supervise the day to day activities of Gear4music employees, ensuring daily performance targets are achieved Promote a culture of personal development to enable all team members to reach their full potential Support and develop the warehouse operational management team, as individuals and as a team, to deliver the business objectives Implement company policies, practices and procedures Hold review / appraisal meetings with team members as necessary Health & Safety: Pro-actively support and promote a culture of Health and Safety within the workplace Ensure that all team members act in a safe, responsible and professional manner Processes and procedures: Help to create and implement robust processes and procedures, such as 5S and LEAN Promote the use of continuous improvement tools * Ensure best in class customer service at all times and pro-actively follow quality related customer and company errors focusing on improving customer experience * Understand and implement stock management systems, warehouse utilisation and capacity Role Requirements - To be successful in your application, please ensure that your experience aligns with the following: Essential skills and experience: Prior warehouse management experience Excellent leadership experience Flexibility to work different shift patterns to suit the business needs Proven success promoting new ideas within the warehouse operation Experience working in a fast-paced environment Health and safety aware Desirable skills and experience: Experience working in an e-commerce environment is strongly desirable Experience in continuous improvement and well versed in LEAN Knowledge of stock management principles and systems What we offer Competitive salary Generous staff discount on all musical products Cycle to work scheme Free car parking Corporate eye care Refer a friend scheme Free flu jabs Employee Assistance Programme If you would like to further your career with a dynamic, growing company, where you can expect to be rewarded for hard work - please apply today!
