Job Description

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Contract: Up to 1 year fixed term to cover maternity An opportunity has arisen to join the Antimicrobial Pharmacy Team. This will involve working closely with the Antimicrobial Pharmacists and Microbiologists. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal skills as well as being able to prioritise tasks and manage their own time effectively. These skills will be essential for liaising between Medical and Nursing teams, as well as internal and external providers. The post holder will co-ordinate patients and queries for the Antimicrobial ward rounds. This is very important for helping the Trust to achieve the CQUIN managing Antimicrobial Resistance. There will be regular audit work and training will be provided if necessary. Last year the Trust participated in the ARK study and we are planning to role this out across the Trust. There are considerable shortages of different Antibiotics at the moment which means liaison between the Procurement Team and the wards to ensure that the Antibiotics are available when needed as well as communication to the medical teams in a timely way. It will be important for the candidate to have IT skills and ideally experience of report writing.
