Director, Media Sales Proposition Job summary: The purpose of this exciting new role is to support Rakuten media sales across Europe by designing and delivering go-to-market elements of our proposition to commercial teams; including messaging, positioning and productization elements to ensure we are as successful as possible Roles & responsibility: This role will be responsible for working with Rakuten Media Group leadership, Rakuten Advertising regional marketing teams and European Rakuten businesses such as Rakuten TV, Rakuten Viber, Rakuten Viki as well as Rakuten France and Rakuten Germany to ensure our media sales proposition is positioned correctly in each of our key markets and set up for success. With a minimum of 5 of experience of media sales and positioning the right candidate would be looking to take on significant responsibility in an area that has huge potential * Work with Rakuten Media Group business teams, key agencies and Rakuten Advertising commercial teams to position and package our commercial offerings. * Work with product marketing teams to design and deliver media kits, sales decks and other materials as needed. * Own and run go-to-market plans in synch with media product releases to maintain market relevance * Work with RMG sales teams to help them target and position our proposition for success Key requirements: Technical / functional expertise * 4-5 years of experience working in the media sales industry of media advertising experience * Deeply analytical nature able to commission or undertake market and product analysis to steer our product roadmap and commercial direction * An understanding of the use and application of data to sell and deliver advertising products * A background in programmatic technologies and platforms preferred Communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomatic, persuasive, strong negotiating skills * Excellent skills for communicating with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders across different time zones and countries * Clear communication of key objectives to staff to achieve goals Results focus * Hands-on approach with can-do attitude; problem solving; resourceful; ensure constructive accountability for actions; decisive Teamwork * Collaborative, inclusive * Proven ability to manage distant and high level relationships with shared business owners in other regions * Can work in fast-moving environment to achieve clarity and solutions on complex issues Understanding of the business * Strong commercial awareness, thorough understanding of RM product; shows good judgement Leadership * Excellent ability to manage and lead people; can connect on personal and team levels; engages with and motivates others to deliver measurable, cost-effective results * Strong relationship builder whilst providing inspirational leadership to all employees ***** Rakuten is an equal opportunity employer.
