Job Description

Overview Solarwinds MSP has been experiencing explosive growth of our SaaS platforms and is seeking a hands-on Operations Engineer (SecDevOps) to focus on the development and implementation of our continuous security program (SecDevOps). We are seeking to implement an approach to security which aligns with our CI/CD development and deployment models and heavily leverages automation to allow scale. We take a very pragmatic and incremental approach, focused on where we can empower and add value. This will be the start of a journey, and to be effective you will need to be comfortable working in an environment where collaboration, innovation, and adaptability are keys to success. Responsibilities + Highly collaborative approach to finding solutions and not operating in the stereotypical 'security as an obstacle' approach. + Perform risk and threat analysis of SaaS platforms and processes. + Contribute to the creation of our SecDevOps roadmap and initiatives prioritization. + Collaborate with Engineering and Development Operations teams to implement tools, automation, and processes which add value and incrementally improve our security posture. + Partner with leadership to establish Key Performance Indicators and metrics for tracking the security health and posture of the MSP product suite. Be comfortable presenting to Executives and Senior Management on programme details and status. + Participate in our incident response team (PSIRT/CERT). Qualifications Experience with: + Production deployments using cloud technologies (specifically AWS). + Product certifications such as; PCI, ISO27001, SOC/SOC II, HIPAA, FERPA, etc preferred. + Different programming and scripting languages. And: + A formal security training, experience, or certifications (such as CISSP) highly desirable. + Experience in supporting revenue-generating, customer-facing SaaS platforms. + Relevant technical experience and prior experience with DevOps required. SecDevOps Engineer Ideal Attributes + Strong customer orientation. + Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. + Attention to detail and focus on quality. with an ability to act decisively and work well under pressure. + Self-motivated with a high aptitude for learning. + Participates in Infosec community and is known as the "advocate" for security as quality in the product space. + Must be collaborative and comfortable working in a matrixed environment and with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Architecture, Legal, Sales, Marketing, etc) + Must be beyond comfortable with SaaS security concepts such as trust relationships with outside parties, integrations, OWASP top 10, cloud services review, offensive security code review, etc. Location UK-Edinburgh SolarWinds is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
