About the Opportunity As the Head of Legal & Operations, you will work in partnership with the Head of Finance, Chief People Officer and CEO to take responsibility for a diverse range of operational, commercial, and legal efficiency of the business. This role will play a critical part in the ongoing and future success of the company and you will be expected to lead by example as you help to develop and implement the strategic plan to push the business into the next stage of its evolution and growth. Role Responsibilities Oversee corporate legal function including contracts, transactions and corporate matters Provide ongoing legal counsel interpretation and guidance for senior executives and other business team members on a variety of matters impacting the operations of Beamery Maintaining proper corporate compliance, governance, and interactions with the relevant local, state and federal governmental bodies and the community at large Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications Participate and lead in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, mergers) Centralise internal operations and create business process efficiency and rigour Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures and set comprehensive goals for performance and growth Work in a customer facing capacity, including contract negotiations and representing the interest of the business Advising the CEO and other senior corporate officers on a variety of issues Skills and Qualifications Bachelor' degree in Law, Business Administration or similar field 7+ years in a business or executive management role and 5+ years PQE in a law firm or in an in-house role Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments Data-driven approach to decision-making Excellent communicator in written and verbal form Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity Experience planning and executing strategic initiatives
