What is the Opportunity? The Custody and network management unit is responsible for Global & Domestic custody ("custody'), network management, Global Funds platform - Fund Order routing, settlement, and administration ("GFP"), Primary markets products (ETFs, Loans), ICS and Benefit payments ("Custody Services") within Investor Services ("IS"). Initiate and support the overall product strategy, direction, and profitability for Custody & GFP within RBC Investor Services, in alignment with core services' strategic objectives. Initiate and support designing, developing products to support client retention, target client acquisition, enhance the client experience and deliver on commitments made to clients, including drive and oversee the execution of approved product change/development. Initiate and support the Product Standards & the operating framework for custody and GFP. The focus of the role is Global excluding the Canadian Franchise, across primarily the asset manager segment. What will you do? * Proactively involved in the assessment of available market intelligence and stakeholder feedback (clients and functions) to lead strategy and evolution of the Custody & GFP business, including target market, features, product/service experience, regulation, and compliance. * Support development and maintenance of a suite of Custody & GFP products focused on delivering NIAT growth through enhancing/digitising products, generating client value, delivering by geography and platform. * Initiating and analysis in delivering a clear product roadmap in-collaboration with Custody & GFP Executive, Client Experience, Client Operations, and Client Coverage. * Overseeing and supporting product-related change, including commercially-viable and client-focused business cases, with prioritisation and approval of product, client, operational and regulatory change. Business cases to be managed in-collaboration with Profitability and Protocols. * Responsible for ensuring change remains aligned to existing regulation and/or internal RBC policies. * Responsible for definition of the contractual product * Working with the product architect - support definition, design and efficiency of product services, operating model(s), product standards and technical stack/architecture, with an objective to simplify where possible. * Lead for Custody & GFP - related client retention, win and/or upsell in collaboration with Global Client Coverage. What do you need to succeed? Must have: * BA or BSc in business, or other relevant degrees * Extensive experience in the industry, with a specific focus in securities finance and global markets * Sound technical knowledge of the financial services and asset management industry * Extensive experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all in-scope products * Proven curiosity regarding fintech and evolving investment industry trends * Strong corporate knowledge Nice to have: • MBA, CFA or post-graduate in business or finance would be a plus • Professional qualifications from a recognised industry body preferred What's in it for you?
