Job Summary In this role, you will provide strategic and operational support to the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU). Working collaboratively across the entire FOLU network, you will assist in advancing the FOLU Phase 2 agenda at the global and country-level. This unique opportunity involves working with some of the world's most prominent institutions and individuals in the fields of economics, agriculture, environment, health and nutrition. Job Responsibilities Your main areas of responsibility will include: * Coordinate FOLU meetings and events to maintain communication flows and facilitate collective decision-making (in collaboration with the FOLU Programme Director) * Facilitate in project planning and reporting processes, by drafting annual project plans and quarterly project reports * Track fundraising proposals and oversee project proposal preparation, and general donor stewardship * Prepare first drafts of grant reports and funding proposals * Schedule weekly FOLU management meetings, help set agenda, take and circulate notes, and ensure timely completion of follow-up actions * Make logistical preparations for quarterly FOLU management meetings * Prepare PowerPoint presentations and related materials * Perform ad hoc research as needed * Prepare FOLU newsletters with input from the FOLU team * Support the project team on other administrative matters such as travel arrangement, report publication, and other events and communications You will be based in London at WRI (FOLU's PMO) and will interact closely with FOLU's Core Partners Job Qualifications * Master's Degree required (or a Bachelor's degree with two additional years of experience) * Minimum of 3 years' experience within government and/or private sector coordinating programme management and/or multi-stakeholder initiatives * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail * Self-motivated, entrepreneurial style with strong track record coordinating complex projects and teams across multiple geographic locations * Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including across academic, public policy and the private sectors * Relationship management skills in various cultural contexts * Ability to help ensure large projects execute on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all policies and standards on donor partners * Full fluency in written English with excellent writing skills * Legally able to work in UK * How to Apply Applicants must apply through the WRI Careers portal to be considered. Program Overview The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) is a self-governed Coalition of organisations and individuals working collaboratively to achieve a shared objective: the urgent transformation of food and land use systems to deliver a better future for people, nature and climate. FOLU supports science-based solutions and helps to build a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities to unlock collective, ambitious action. FOLU's Growing Better report recommends an integrated reform agenda along ten critical transitions to deliver positive outcomes for environment, health, inclusive development and food security, ensuring food and land use systems support delivery of globally agreed sustainable development, climate and biodiversity goals. FOLU's light-touch governance and adaptive management have enabled the FOLU community to grow and evolve since FOLU's inception in 2017. The Coalition's collective leadership is provided by a Core Partners Group comprised of: The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), EAT, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), SYSTEMIQ, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), World Farmers' Organisation (WFO), and the World Resources Institute (WRI). Through the Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land Use, and Energy (FABLE) Consortium, FOLU has expert teams and networks in 18 countries, including the European Union. FABLE is a knowledge network that supports countries develop data and modelling infrastructure to promote ambitious, integrated strategies towards sustainable land use and food systems. FOLU country platforms are operating in: China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Ethiopia and Colombia, with partner networks in Australia, the UK and the Nordic region. FOLU's Ambassador network is co-chaired by Shenggen Fan, Agnes Kalibata and Paul Polman. They are international, senior leaders who engage decision-makers at the global and national level to drive change in one or more FOLU countries.
