Job Description

ABOUT VGC PARTNERS Founded in 2011, VGC Partners LLP (formerly Velos Partners EMEA LLP) has c. 100m under management across several funds and investment vehicles. The firm is backed by a number of institutions and a select group of high net worth individuals who have experience in building consumer, media and technology companies. The Partners of the firm also have a background as successful entrepreneurs prior to investing in these sectors and are very well networked within the international business community. We are a growth capital investor and our strategy involves taking significant minority stakes in private companies across the seed (SEIS), development (EIS) and growth stages. We back talented CEOs and management teams who can demonstrate an ability to execute operationally and create value. The selection criteria for companies in which we invest is rigorous and we constantly think about how we can help businesses over and above just the provision of capital. We typically leverage technology, corporate partners and operational networks across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific to drive meaningful growth for our portfolio companies. We always work alongside management to optimise value during our ownership and help our companies sell to private equity and trade purchasers. The firm is launching its fourth SEIS Fund, VGC Partners Technology Seed Fund IV, for the 2020/21 tax year in partnership with Amazon Alexa, from which a number of voice technology businesses will be backed and mentored.
