Job Description
This is an instrumental role within the global content team, responsible for negotiation, acquisition and licensing of programming for SVOD, AVOD and linear services for distribution across all devices (Mobile, PC, OTT, tablets, STB). You will be working with major Hollywood studios, mini-majors, international broadcasters, MCNs, leading independent and local distributors, across all international territories, including Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia Pac. Supporting the Head of Content in London, this role will execute global content licensing deals, while also working on customer content strategies, developing market specific propositions, and working closely with other functional areas of the Content team (Programming and Promotions), as well as other Departments within the company. This person has extensive licensing experience (minimum five years), particularly with SVOD and AVOD products, and is well connected with major suppliers in markets globally. The candidate should also have a strategic mindset, be ambitious and a self-starter. Role and Responsibilities + Ability to negotiate across all windows (Pre-Theatrical, EST, PVOD, AVOD, TVOD, PPV, Pay 1, Pay 2, Free, Library SVOD etc...), with a specific focus on SVOD, AVOD and linear + Ability to support Senior Management in the definition of the content strategy and product mix for all new launches worldwide (TVOD, AVOD, SVOD, EST, what studios etc...) + Ability to support sales teams for any client ad-hoc requests and new business modelling purposes + Management of ongoing relationship with 120+ content suppliers Knowledge, Skills and Experience + 5 years' experience in a content acquisition and/or sales role, preferably across multiple international markets + SVOD experience is a must have, and AVOD is a significant advantage + A good working knowledge and understanding of the general media landscape + An ability to learn about the complexities of individual international markets + Experience in negotiating complex licensing deals and managing budgets + Must be client facing + Must be able to come up with creative solutions to practical issues + Must be able to understand the specific requests of a customer, while keeping the bigger picture in mind + Should have an extensive list of contacts in the media industry and strong studio relationships + Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including a qualitative and quantitative skill set + Must be proficient in Excel, comfortable with financial modelling + Must be proficient in PowerPoint, able to create content strategies and propositions for both internal and external presentation + Excellent communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results + Highly responsible and self-motivated, able to thrive in an energetic, fast paced entrepreneurial environment + Team player who can build relationships at all levels of the organization + Should be capable of preparing business cases as short notice ID: 2020-2722 External Company Name: Vubiquity External Company URL: www.vubiquity.com Street: 3 More London
