Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started. **Summary:** We are looking for a Communications Leader to join our team to lead communications across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). This is a pivotal role in supporting communications efforts to our community, policymakers, regulators and media in the region. Facebook's communications need to reflect the diversity of nationalities that use our platforms to connect to the things that matter to them. You will be part of a strong international communication team that operates across the world, and will be working closely with our global and US teams in our HQ in Menlo Park, California (MPK). This person reports to the Vice President of International Communications. **Required Skills:** 1. Ensuring the EMEA comms organization develops and implements comms plans in line with the company's global priorities, while customising them for the countries in which our teams work. 2. Ensuring appropriate funding and headcount are allocated to support these efforts, and to manage budgets to ensure our money is spent wisely, and that we are focused on the most important opportunities. 3. Developing metrics for the EMEA team, in concert with International leadership, to establish a fair and justifiable rationale for how EMEA efforts will be assessed. 4. Creating a happy, high-performing team 5. Ensuring the work and voice of the team are heard and well-represented in the US so that we become a more global company 6. Helping to translate global priorities to the region and provide clarity. 7. Championing idea-sharing and making sure best practices are shared among the other teams worldwide. 8. Developing talent so that there is a strong bench at each level with clear paths for development. Champion continued learning and skill development 9. Working in sync with other EMEA functions especially marketing, policy, legal and the business. 10. Serving as a strategic advisor to the different countries within EMEA, particularly in times of crisis and controversy. Maintain ample information exchange between headquarters and the regions. **Minimum Qualifications:** 11. International experience running communications for at least one region of the world, ideally EMEA or a part of EMEA 12. Ability to manage a diverse team spread over multiple locations 13. Proven record of talent development 14. Track record for innovative communication campaigns 15. Ability to manage complex issues across multiple countries 16. Experience developing communications strategies for global companies ideally in tech or associated sectors 17. Understanding and experience working with key partners like policy and marketing as well as senior execs **Industry:** Internet
