Broker Backup Technician, City, Salary £40,000, Working for an International Lloyd's Broker. Your new company Your new job working as a Broker Backup Technician will be working for an International Lloyd's Broker based in the City. Due to the growth and expansion of the Marine division, the role of Broker Backup Technician has arisen. Your new role Your new job will be working as a Broker Backup Technician means you will be with a particular focus on Marine and P&I classes (mainly International and some UK). You will be responsible for drafting slips, processing data, invoices and cover notes using the IBS system. You will also be drafting Binders as well as processing Bordereaux. You will be required to submit all documentation to the Bureau. Other duties will include front and back end duties as well as effective management of your workload and other administrative duties. What you'll need to succeed Your previous experience as a Broker Backup or Marine Technician dealing with Marine and P&I classes will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have proven experience in dealing with Xchanging and the PPL system. You will be confident in your ability to draft slips, particularly Marine classes (P&I is important). You will have more than a basic understanding, especially of Contract Certainty requirements. You will have a strong personality that can help them change the London Market processes and be a central point for ensuring that they comply with Market standards and regulatory requirements.
