Overview
Job Description
Due to high-growth, we're looking for a Senior Bunker Broker to join the Sales team at BunkerEx. Working in a small, fast growing company you will be responsible for closing deals (both spot and FFP), converting our vast database of software users into brokerage customers, managing existing accounts, expanding our supply network and marketing our new services. As a key early employee you will make a meaningful contribution to the bottom line and the progression of the company as a whole. Besides spot brokerage deals, a large part of the role will involve leveraging our technology to cross-sell our unique Fuel Risk Management products to customers. This requires a deep understanding of forward bunker contracts and the ability to clearly communicate and educate clients. Forward price contracts are more bespoke and have longer sales cycles. This is a unique opportunity to capitalise on our traction. Ultimately, your contribution will be measured by deals closed and revenue generated. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: * a minimum of 3 years experience as a bunker trader or broker, including selling forward bunker hedges. * a basic understanding of marine fuel paper markets. * a track record of closing larger, more complicated deals (ideally bunker contracts). * the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner. * experience with common legal bunker terms. * an understanding of price, credit and counterparty risk. * a strong personal network of physical suppliers in major ports worldwide. * a likeable, energetic character that easily builds relationships with people. Due to COVID-19, being extremely comfortable on the phone and running virtual meetings is essential.
