Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Apprentice to learn about how our products are produced and manufactured. During your apprenticeship based at our Head Office in York, you will rotate around all areas within our Production teams to gain in-depth knowledge of design and manufacturing process. You will complete a Level 3 Diploma in Maintenance and Operations Engineering at Selby College on a day release basis, ensuring you have ability to carry out the role competently and effectively. What might a typical day in this job look like? You will learn: How to use engineering knowledge and understanding to apply technical and practical skills How to design, develop, manufacture, build, commission, operate or maintain products, equipment, processes, systems and services How to apply lean principles and techniques You will also: Develop competence in the role through in-house and external development programmes Contribute to a positive working environment with regular performance reviews Benefits Hourly wage £5.90 Annual pay review 24 days paid holiday per year Buy up to 5 days additional holiday per year Gym and shopping discounts Cycle to work scheme Free onsite parking What qualification or qualities are required? 3 GCSE's Grades 7-4 (A-C), including Maths and English or equivalent Knowledge and use of IT systems The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions The ability to work systematically and logically Future prospects: There are a number of options you can take as the next steps in your career with us including a permanent position, and progression within the business.
