To help deliver this ambition the Estates team need to recruit an experienced Head of Campus FM. Your new role Reporting to the Assistant Director for Campus Services, the Head of Campus FM will lead on the delivery, compliance and assurance of a range of University-wide services including: Cleaning; Car parking; Campus FM contract management; Waste management and recycling; environmental & sustainability services; fleet, transport & logistics management. Your new role will be to ensure the team maintains its focus on delivering key University objectives and adopts a proactive, customer focused approach in the delivery of services which support high quality environments for students, staff and other stakeholders. A key requirement will be the ability to develop the in-house team and deliver a strong sense of leadership, ensuring the University delivers the very best service levels and a strong engagement to cultural and behavioural change. The role holder will be required to travel between university sites (Stafford, Lichfield and Shrewsbury) on occasions, however the position will predominantly be based at the Stoke campus. Experience Required In order to be considered for the role, you must have a degree in Facilities Management or related discipline and ideally membership of a professional body such as IWFM, CIBSE etc. You must have extensive experience in providing and leading frontline services, managing both in house and external contractors. You must have a proven track record of successfully managing compliance, developing and reporting on KPIS and developing strategies to drive service improvements and customer satisfaction. You must have a sound understanding of legal compliance and ideally, IOSH / NEBOSH qualified. Furthermore, you must possess strong IT skills, to include Excel, Powerpoint and Word. About You You will possess an excellent customer service ethos and be a confident and articulate communicator, able to lead and engage at all levels of the organisation to drive change management. You must demonstrate a strategic approach, with sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks when working to tight deadlines. Furthermore, you must have proven experience in managing budgets, ensuring Campus FM services are delivered in a cost effective manner, providing best value for money to the organisation at all times. Previous experience in a Higher Education setting would be preferable.
