Our country pub is set in the delightful Cheshire countryside just on the outskirts of Alsager and near to the M6 junction 16. We pride ourselves on our locally sourced home cooked food and a great selection of cask ales lagers and ciders complimented by a comprehensive yet affordable wine menu from around the world. Our staff are enthusiastic friendly and attentive, working hard to give our guests a memorable experience. We have a large function room available for those special occasions or for corporate events and meetings.The operation has a good split of wet & dry sales and food is made fresh using locally sourced produce, including sauces & desserts In your role as Head Chef you will be responsible for leading and motivating your brigade, ensuring the mouth-watering dishes are presented to the highest standards and are served in a timely manner. Requirements: Previous experience up to Head Chef level looking to join a great gastro pub or food pub company Background of working within a quality food pub or restaurant Must have experience of working with fresh produce The ability to work in a busy environment and under pressure Would consider Head Chefs from both independent gastro pub or restaurants as well as from a more corporate quality branded gastro pub operator or hotel so long as have experience of working with fresh produce & the role would suit someone from an independent gastro pub background or a mixture of independent & quality branded gastro pubs or restaurants The ability to recruit, manage, lead, train & motivate a team Committed to providing the highest standards of food & service Strong back of house skills - Delivering GPs, controlling stock and delivering five star kitchen safety.
