SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER BIRMINGHAM AREA £20500-£26000 We have an amazing organisation that have 3 EBD homes caring for children 7-18 yrs old. 1x 4 bed home in Tamworth 1x 3 bed home in Oldbury plus a solo unit in Yaldley Wood. The full-time shift pattern is a 24-hour shift from 07.30am through to 08:00am the following day, including sleeping-in overnight. RSW’s typically work two-three full shifts per week, including shifts on the weekends. There is also the requirement waking night staff. Hourly rate is £10.67 per hour plus £70 sleeps over time increases 25% to £12 per hour 10 shifts per month Annual Salary £20500 - £26000 with sleeps and overtime Benefits include-28days holiday including bank holidays Company Discount Vouchers & Company Helpline. The primary role and responsibilities of Senior Support Worker (SSW) To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager. To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people. To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people. You will be responsible for supervising junior home staff as directed You will provide managerial control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities. To assist the Registered/Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose To drive company vehicles - subject to policies and procedures To work on a rota basis according to the needs of young people This post requires the holder to do varying shifts, which include early morning and late evening work and an on call rota system. You will be required to work weekends as part of a rota and Bank Holidays when required. Sleeping-in duties are also required for which an additional payment is made. You will assist the Support Workers in their roles as Key Workers and act as a link worker to the Children/Young People when their Key Worker is not available. You will have a clear DBS You will have NVQ Children and Young People Working towards NQ5 Leadership and Management desirable Experience working at a Residential Home in a similar role.
