Overview

Part of a major international group, this organisation has recently built a new manufacturing facility on a 'green field site' to produce complex high value components for the automotive industry. To facilitate the expansion and continued investment a number of experienced Maintenance Technicians are required during 2020. Salary range £34-37000 (depending upon experience), shift allowance, paid overtime, pension Various shift patterns available : Double days/ Three shift / Weekend shift Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance of plant equipment and facilities ensuring the smooth running of the plant and limit impact on customer demand. Duties: o Attend machine breakdown to ensure equipment availability is in line with departmental targets o Root cause analysis of repeat / major breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvements o Engineer out previous issues following a continuous improvement mind-set & methodology o Facilitate preventative maintenance schedules and make recommendations for improvement o Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed during maintenance activities o Apply 5S methodology in work area and wider factory Experience required: o Time served apprentice in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent o Minimum C&G craft qualification / NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent o Ideally multiskilled engineer or willingness and aptitude to upskill o High volume fast paced manufacturing environment o Working with industrial automation – robots, PLCs, material handling, poke yoke etc o Experience in fault finding from electrical schematics o Experience in fault finding from hydraulic & pneumatic schematics o Knowledge of TMP, PPM and 5S The opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Electrical Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Team Leaders to join a brand new venture with considerable capex investment.
