Role outline We are seeking ambitious and experienced BI & Analytics professionals to join our fast-growing, innovative team. You will have excellent BI & analytics experience gained from multiple implementations. The role will require you to use your business knowledge, technical expertise, and soft skills to challenge clients, develop solutions and successfully deliver projects across a range of industry sectors. You will be skilled in capturing business requirements and conducting detailed data analysis. You will have a strong background in data integration design and development. You will have experience of designing and developing dimensional data models, and building reports, dashboards and scorecards using a variety of tools. You will support business development activities, as well as contributing to proposal writing and client presentations and our clients will see you as a trusted advisor to work closely with them in identifying, analysing and solving their business challenges. The successful candidate will have: A deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes and data modelling. Expertise in Database Design and Development in Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, MS SQL Server and be proficient in creating highly flexible Database Architecture. Proficiency in creating data models and schemas. The ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. The ability to interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organisational levels. Excellent project management, organisation, and follow-up skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ability to work in virtual teams and independently and to be a team player. Strong financial and business acumen, and ability to speak about technology in the language of business. Requirements for the role Essential Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (such as business, data analytics, computer science, or information systems). Proven track record of executing full life cycle data warehouse and business intelligence/analytics implementations (ideally 10 years’ experience). Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine (database administration/maintenance), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Azure Data Resources, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks and Azure Analysis Services. Experience with data modelling (normalised and de-normalised data models) and understanding of the appropriate purpose for each. Strong focus and ability to manage and construct Dimensional Data Warehouses. Experience with Power BI for data modelling and creating visualisations. Proficient in MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
