Overview

Reed Accountancy are recruiting for a General Ledger Accountant for a business based in Callington. Key accountabilities and responsibilities Obtain information from the business, other financial modules/system, and other sources necessary for preparation of accounts Determine and record period-end accounting entries Balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and post prepayments Record entries for depreciation, amortisation and all entries related to non-current assets Maintain Fixed Asset Register Record accruals for recurring expenses Enter payroll journal Weekly cashflow forecasting Support other members in the FSSC especially around specific finance queries i.e. vat/tax etc. Processing of expenses and reconciliation of credit card expenditure Manage the audit process for the FSSC working with auditors on any specific queries they may have Ad-hoc Finance tasks as requested Some travel is required for the role Qualifications and Experience required GCSE’s/A Levels/AAT Level 4, working towards an accounting qualification CIMA/ACCA Previous experience of working within a Finance team Windows Dynamix AX experience (desirable) Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook & Office 365 If you have the relevant skills and experience, please apply online with your up-to-date CV, confirming your current salary and notice period within your covering letter.
